Designed a series of 60-second animated explainers for a complex gene therapy trial, significantly boosting patient comprehension of risks and benefits.
The Phase I/II gene therapy trial involved complex biological mechanisms, novel risks, and a lengthy, technical Informed Consent Form (ICF). Patient fatigue and low literacy made it nearly impossible for sites to ensure true informed consent.

"The animated video was critical. It was the only way we could confidently explain the complex science to patients and their caregivers, setting a new, higher standard for informed consent in our cutting-edge trials."

What we did
22% increase in patient scores on the ICF knowledge assessment; 45% reduction in time spent by the site coordinator on basic protocol explanations; Accelerated enrolment by 6 weeks.

Project approach
As part of the Informed Consent Experience Suite, we created short, narrative-driven animated videos (live-action videos: 60–180 second assets) to visually explain the gene delivery method and potential risks. These assets were deployed at the pre-screening stage, acting as a powerful adjunct to the paper ICF. This strategy helps stakeholders, as video is an effective way to convey complex information.
