Designed a unified, icon-driven Trial Roadmap and dosing guides as part of the Trial Companion Kit to boost adherence and simplify complex schedules for a multi-visit trial.
The Phase II protocol required 18 visits and multiple at-home procedures over six months, creating patient confusion and non-adherence. The existing text-heavy schedule caused high anxiety, necessitating a deep understanding of user needs to redesign the communication.

Project approach
Our design approach began with Empathy Mapping to visualize the user experience of the complex schedule. We created the Trial Roadmap: a simple, visualized calendar using icons and color-coding to show visits, windows, and restrictions. This improved the information flow for patients and sites.
